I just find it interesting all the Bush bashing since he claimed responsibility. It’s like the Leftist extremists don’t know what to do with themselves. It’s really quite funny to finally see them collectively shut up instantaneously. It’s like the floor was pulled out from under them.
“Taking responsibility” must have some real meaning and consequences
Everyday now, more bodies are being found in the hurricane hit Louisiana and Mississippi states. I realize that with a hurricane with the magnitude of Katrina some deaths might have been unavoidable but, I am also sure if it wasn’t for the incompetence of the Bush administration in properly responding to the urgency of aid and rescue requirements, many lives could have been saved.
George Bush has now “accepted” the responsibility of the failure in properly responding to the disaster. I wonder what, in his paralyzed mind, does he think about this “taking responsibility”. I wonder what it means to him. That, he can claim to be honest and courageous for doing this? Or what? really!
This is not the first time he and his big-business-dedicated friends have failed. Regardless of how we see the invasion of Iraq, there is one fact that is almost agreed by all and that is the fact that the US leaders, as the invaders of an independent country, had no plan to prevent chaos immediately after the fall of Baghdad. A chaos that to day is still continuing. This has cost lives; significant number of lives.
As I said, “taking responsibility” is not good enough. What next? What has to happen to the one/s who failed miserably in doing their job? What is the consequence of such failures? The failures which have resulted in the death of people. Are they not negligence? Yes, they are. In my opinion, they are negligence causing death in large magnitudes; they are criminal negligence and should be treated as such. And… Bush and his gang must be held accountable to that standard.
How transparent things are when only one name is mentioned in who should be accountable. It’s not as if you actually care about responsibility as much as you care about who you’d like to see take responsibility.
I’m mentiong Bush and his gang because I’ve seen the affects of his international criminal activities. Not living in the US and not being an American, I could not have had lots of information and details as to who else has failed in the hurricane-related relief issue. I am sure there are many other authorities and agencies who have failed misrably as well, but I just don’t know enough about them. However, for now at least we have one who admits his guilt and that is no-one but Bush. So let ’s first hold him accountable for his negligence. Then, let’s see who else… .
By the way, despite what you think, I do care about those Americans who are suffering and perhaps I even care more than many Americans who are just concerned about maintaining the “presteege” (sp?) of their president than about those who are in desparate need of help.
Just so you know, I don’t live in the US so your excuse as to why you don’t have information holds little water in this issue (pun intended). This is the freakin’ internet my friend! Anybody who says they can’t get information is fooling themselves AND making a mockery of themselves. The information is out there and easy to get unless you’re limiting yourself to one source of information: the Bush-bashing, far-Left extremist crowd.
As for those who are to blame, the Liberal media is all over themselves trying their best to paint Bush as the person to blame. But when you ask those who actually went through this disaster, you’d be surprised to find that they are quicker to blame the local government than Bush:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: when people who are criticizing the response to this disaster only mention one name, it’s not because they want to criticize the response, it’s because they want to criticize that person. It is transparent as hell.
After all, you’re interest is in “international criminal activities”, isn’t it? (Your words, not mine). I’ve criticized the Mayor, the Governer and Bush. ALL of the Lefties are only criticizing Bush. Why? Because they could give a damn about assigning blame to those responsible in order to prevent the kind of problems that occurred. They only want to tar and feather Bush. These people don’t care about fixing the problem, they care about fixing the blame.
I’m just surprised that the Left does not have the self-dignity to drop this while they are ahead because it is only working against them. They are doing this because they have mid-term elections coming up next year and they want to go after Republicans now (read = opportunism). But when you see these people who lived through this disaster and you realize that they KNOW what the Democrats are doing, anybody with half a brain has to realize that this game of political football that the Left is playing is going to backfire in spades.
I never said I don’t have information. Here is what I said:
I could not have had lots of information and details as to who else has failed in the hurricane-related relief issue.
“Lots of information and details”. That’’s what I’m talking about. Why do you think I’ve niglected in knowing what the governmental structures in the US are? Why do you think, it is very bad that I do not know all the details as what government (city, state or federal) is responsible for what? Why should I care for the details? What I know is that Bush has failed misrebaly. You say others have failed too? Well, so be it. But did I object that? Once again, I mention Bush because he is a known international criminal (don’t worry, my word not yours). Because he has shown that what he doesn’t have a clue about is caring for other human beings. Beacuse he is reponsible, directly or indirectly, for the death of tens of thousands of people. THAT’s why I see Bush first and that does not mean the others are not responsible in the failure with the pathetic aid response to the hurricane disaster. You provide more information using “internet”? Well, thank you. I now know more and know that there are others too who have to be put on trial for their criminal niglegence causing death. But Bush’s trial is long overdue - yeah, my words not yours
2. Taking responsibility means Bush going right straight to prison for criminal negligence causing death. The hurricane did not kill anyone in New Orleans. The breach of the 40 year old levees killed them. The USACE report to upgrade was delivered five years ago. Bush diverted funds from the levees (democratic demographics) for a highway in Alaska.

But then… I’m only stating the obvious.
No surcure,

1. Harry Truman said “the buck stops here”.
2. Taking responsibility means Bush going right straight to prison for criminal negligence causing death. The hurricane did not kill anyone in New Orleans. I know whereof I speak.
