I certainly didn’t go running to grab my son and say “Look at this picture of a guy taking a piss on a war memorial”.
I told my son about it - because we often discuss the news. But I didn’t give him any visuals, just like I don’t let him watch movies that are innappropriate for his age that include scenes of violence, coarse language or nudity.
My son’s comment was “That’s pretty sick. What a freak. I hope that they find out who he is and he has to apologize”

Its a lot weird. Anyway, I doubt that showing the pictures, in itself, would have much effect, even on a five-year old. But, add the showing of pictures to the excessive overly-dramatic moralising that probably accompanied the incident, and I suspect you’ll have one traumatized-for-life young girl. Could a five-year old understand anything other than “peeing is wrong?” I doubt it.
Janke has just asked me to clarify that apparently he did not actually grab his daughter and show her the picture on purpose. That in fact, she happened to see it, over his shoulder as it was on his desk-top.

Just a thought Robert, I’d go after the Canadian Taxpayers Federation before Janke, who has self-admittedly got very little income and hopes to translate his blogging into a career in paid-journalism. However the comment on the Canadian Taxpayers Fed website is libelous, and they DO have money that could be seized if there was a judgement.
Also - the insinuation that you are a danger to children, that is now being used - as was used against me by Kate, regarding my own child, when I mentioned that on New Years Eve we as a family were going to stay up, cuddle up in bed together, watch movies and eat popcorn - does meet the definition of CRIMINAL DEFAMATORY LIBEL, under the Criminal Code.
It’s not used very often - but if you make a complaint - at least it’s on record that such a complaint has been made - and so no issue about estoppel can be used later that you were sitting idle while this criminal defamatory libel was being spread about you.
It will help with your court case to document the steps you have taken to stop the libel from being spread further, and thus further damage your reputation.
In my case, I was fortunate, in that in Libel suits you have to prove that somebody wanted to cause you harm by spreading something they knew, or reasonably should know was not true about you. I have a lovely capture of Kate on the Shotgun admitting that the whole reason she was engaged in her little jihad against me, was to cause me financial harm.
